 Pwede Pala Pinoy! is the name used by the Dilaab Movement to popularize its Heroic Christian Citizenship and Leadership Program (HCCLP). HCCLP is the program that is a result of one of three key components of the Dilaab’s articulation of its mission -- igniting spaces of hope among citizens. The other two are: (1) igniting spaces of hope among voters; and (2) igniting spaces of hope among public servants.Pwede Pala Pinoy! aims to showcase fruitful faith-impelled collaboration between and among different individuals, sectors, geographical groupings, and religious denominations, for the common good. The activity is envisioned to ignite hope among ordinary citizens to move by faith in God and love of country to contribute in building a better Philippines. At the core of this message are the following: • A good Christian is a good citizen. • We’re all in this together, as part of the problem and as part of the solution. • The missing link in our brokenness as a nation is solidarity based on a shared faith in God and love of country. • Every little act matters. • When we exchange places, we’ll arrive at our destination sooner than later. • This is an ongoing story. Our response to God’s calling to us as a people will determine how this story unfolds. |
